How to use the spinning wheel
- Add your entries. Type or paste names, options or prizes into the box, one per line. The wheel updates as you type.
- Spin. Click the wheel, the Spin button, or press Space. Press Ctrl+Enter while typing to spin without leaving the box.
- See the winner. The pointer at the top lands on a random slice and the winner pops up with confetti.
- Keep going. Remove the winner for the next round, or turn on "Remove winner after spin" to draw without repeats. Reset brings everyone back.

What people use a random wheel for
- Teachers: pick a student to answer, choose the order of presentations, or randomly assign topics. The random name picker removes each student after they are picked.
- Streamers: pick a giveaway winner from chat, choose the next game or a viewer challenge.
- Families and friends: decide what to eat, who does the dishes (try the chore wheel) or what movie to watch.
- Teams at work: choose who runs the stand-up, the order of demos, or split people into random teams.
- Games: spin for truth or dare, a random letter or a forfeit.
Is the result fair?
Many spinner sites pick the winner from where the animation happens to stop, which depends on timing and screen speed. This wheel does it the other way round: it first chooses the winning slice with a secure random number from your browser, then animates the wheel to land on it. Every slice is the same size and has exactly the same chance, which makes it suitable for classroom draws, giveaways and raffles. The list of previous winners under the wheel lets everyone check the results.
Tips
- Paste a column straight from Excel or Google Sheets — each cell becomes a slice.
- Use "Suspense" spin time for big reveals and "Fast" when you need lots of picks.
- Need several winners at once, or just numbers? Try the random number generator. Settling a two-way choice? Flip a coin.
Frequently asked questions
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. When you spin, the winning slice is chosen with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) before the animation starts. Every slice has exactly the same chance, and nobody — including us — can influence the result.
How many entries can I add?
Up to 1,000. Labels get smaller as the wheel fills up; above about 100 entries, use the full-screen button or a big screen so they stay readable. The winner is always shown in large text.
Can I make one entry more likely to win?
Yes. Every line is one slice, so an entry listed twice has twice the chance. This is the only way to change the odds — the wheel cannot be rigged.
Is my list saved?
Your entries and settings are saved in your own browser, so they are still there when you come back. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
How do I share my wheel?
Click "Copy link to this wheel". The link contains your entries, so anyone who opens it sees the same wheel — no account needed.
Can I use it on a stream or projector?
Yes. Click the full-screen button to show just the wheel. For OBS or Streamlabs, add a Window Capture or Browser Source of this page.
